Cookie policy
Draft version: 21/10/2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files your browser stores when you visit a website. Similar technologies are the browser's local storage and session storage. In this text we call them all "cookies".
2. What we use today
We use only what is needed to make the service work. We do not use cookies for advertising or for statistics. These cookies do not need consent. ⚖ Lawyer check
- Sign in: a session cookie from the sign in service (its name starts with "sb-"), which keeps you signed in. It is created only when you sign in and ends when you sign out or after [SESSION LENGTH].
- Your cookie choice: the "sb_consent" cookie remembers whether you chose only essential cookies or statistics too. It lasts 180 days. ⚖ Lawyer check
- Temporary copy of the form on the /start page: the browser's local storage (key "sb:start") keeps the business name and type you typed, so you can continue after signing up. It is cleared once it is used.
- Setup confirmation message: session storage (key "sb-demo-loaded") briefly keeps a mark that sample data was loaded. It is cleared when you close the tab.
Fonts are loaded from our own address and are not requested from third parties. The pages of businesses do not set cookies of their own through Sitebook. ⚖ Lawyer check
3. Statistics and other cookies
We do not use any analytics tool at the moment. If we add one in the future, it will load only after you accept it, and we will update this text and the list of subprocessors. Until then nothing is loaded, whether you accept or not. The choice "Accept statistics" is stored so that we can respect it if one is added.
4. How to change your choice
- The first time, you see a message with two equal choices: "Essential only" and "Accept statistics". If you do not choose, only essential cookies are used.
- You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with "Cookie settings", at the bottom of the Sitebook pages, in your account Settings and on this page.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Then signing in to your account will not work.
5. Changes and contact
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page. For questions, write to [EMAIL ΓΙΑ ΘΕΜΑΤΑ ΑΠΟΡΡΗΤΟΥ / PRIVACY EMAIL].
